Brad Mushinski is running for Houston City Council At-Large Position 5 to bring City Hall back to basics: safer streets, stronger infrastructure, and a government that works for the people.
Every day, Brad sees firsthand where city government falls short, and how it can do better. As Director of Constituent Services for Council Member Mary Nan Huffman, he helps residents cut through bureaucracy and get real results. Before that, he served Harris County under Commissioner R. Jack Cagle, working directly with communities to solve problems on the ground.
Brad isn't a career politician. He's a problem solver. He's built his career on helping people navigate government, fix issues in their neighborhoods, and get answers when no one else would respond. He knows Houston deserves leadership that delivers, not excuses.

His focus is clear: supporting law enforcement and restoring public safety, fixing Houston's streets and drainage systems, and investing in parks and community spaces where families can feel safe and connected.
Too many Houstonians feel ignored by a system weighed down by red tape. Brad is running to change that, with a constituent-first approach grounded in accountability, transparency, and results.
He believes that when Houston gets the basics right (public safety, infrastructure, and quality of life), there's no limit to what our city can achieve.
Brad holds a degree in Political Science from American University and a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Houston. He is also active in the Polish community and serves as Vice President of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce in Texas. Brad is also a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Spring Branch.
